Objective of this blog animation showcase

The main objective of this blog is to showcase and celebrate the good animation works done by the pioneer (Year 1, 2010) batch of students of the School of Science and Technology (SST), Singapore.

These animated clips are the culmination of the students' first semester effort in uncovering their understanding of the theme 'The Environmental Challenge' in the Art, Design, Media and Technology (ADMT) subject area, via the Challenge-Based Learning (CBL) framework. Through researching and uncovering the various problems and issues relating to the environment, the students then worked on suggesting and executing an appropriate messaging media, through their sketches, story ideas, stop-motion photography, and finally, a 1-minute animated clip. These are the final clips done by them.

It is hoped that through the students' exposure to the processes involved in working on a media presentation, the students would be more aware of what it takes to produce a decent production. On the other hand, it is also hoped that they would be more aware of the environmental challenges that they are facing in the current reality, and in the future.

So do take some time to look through the animation clips done creatively by the students from the various classes on their proposed messaging ideas, and enjoy their efforts.
